GreenPasture Farms is seeking a seasoned Livestock Farm Manager to lead day-to-day operations on our multi-species farm. This role blends hands-on care with systems thinking to maximize animal welfare, productivity, and farm profitability. You will collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists, and the operations team to implement best practices in biosafety, feed efficiency, and pasture management.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily care and welfare of cattle, sheep, and pigs; ensure humane handling and proper housing.
- Lead a small team, assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor performance.
- Manage feeding programs, feed inventories, and utilization of forage and supplements.
- Implement and monitor biosecurity protocols to protect livestock and facilities.
- Track health, vaccinations, and veterinary interaction; coordinate with external veterinarians.
- Record keeping for health, reproduction, productivity, and compliance; generate regular reports.
- Plan and optimize pasture rotation, water systems, and facility maintenance to maximize efficiency.
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on livestock farming experience with cattle, sheep, and/or swine.
- Strong knowledge of animal welfare standards and biosecurity practices.
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills; able to train and motivate staff.
- Ability to read farm records, manage budgets, and use basic farm software or spreadsheets.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks; ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
- Valid driver's license; willingness to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.
- Mechanical aptitude for routine equipment maintenance and facility repairs.
