Responsibility
- Manage daily care, feeding, and health monitoring of cattle and sheep herds
- Supervise farm staff and organize work schedules and training
- Implement and maintain biosecurity and animal welfare protocols
- Oversee breeding programs and record keeping
- Monitor pasture management, feed quality, and inventory of supplies
- Ensure compliance with USDA and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with veterinarians, suppliers, and buyers
- Analyze farm performance data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field
- 3+ yearsâ experience managing a livestock operation
- Strong understanding of herd health, nutrition, and breeding practices
- Proven leadership and staff management abilities
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficient in farm management software and MS Office Suite
- Valid driverâs license and ability to work flexible hours
