As Farm Manager, you’ll shape the day-to-day execution of our livestock program, drive improvements in animal health, feed efficiency, and housing, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic rural environment and values continuous improvement.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily care and welfare of cattle and poultry, ensuring high health standards and humane handling.
- Develop and implement feeding plans, vaccination schedules, and biosecurity protocols.
- Lead and develop farm staff, manage scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitor production metrics, maintain accurate herd records, and optimize feed efficiency.
- Coordinate facility maintenance, equipment repairs, fencing, and water systems.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare, food safety, environmental, and workplace safety regulations.
- Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and inventory control for feed, medications, and bedding.
Qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on livestock farming or farm management experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Solid knowledge of animal welfare, nutrition basics, vaccination protocols, and biosecurity.
- Proven record-keeping, budgeting, and data-driven decision making.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather; valid driver's license; physical stamina.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and emergency response abilities.
- Experience with farm management software and basic maintenance of farm infrastructure.
