Prairie Crest Farms is seeking a results-driven Livestock Farm Manager to lead day-to-day operations across our integrated cattle and poultry facilities. This hands-on leadership role combines herd health oversight, nutrition planning, breeding program coordination, and workforce supervision to ensure safe, productive, and humane farming practices.
As part of our leadership team, you will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive feed plans, vaccination schedules, and biosecurity protocols to optimize performance and minimize disease risk.
- Oversee daily animal care, housing, welfare, and environmental controls across multiple facilities.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, performance, and safety compliance, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Monitor production metrics, maintain accurate records, and generate reports to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Collaborate with farm owners on budgeting, inventory control, and capital improvement projects.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices for animal welfare and biosecurity.
- Champion sustainable farming practices and community engagement to strengthen our rural stewardship.

Qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years of livestock farming or farm management experience, with cattle and poultry exposure.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of staff development.
- Solid knowledge of herd health, nutrition, vaccination programs, and biosecurity practices.
- Ability to analyze production data, manage budgets, and control inventory.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer skills; experience with farm management software a plus.
