In this role you will oversee staff, schedule feeding, manage health programs, monitor feed quality, and ensure compliance with safety and biosecurity standards. You will collaborate with veterinary teams, keep accurate records, and implement sustainability practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily livestock operations for cattle and poultry, including feeding, watering, and housing management.
- Develop and monitor feeding programs, nutrition plans, and waste management to optimize growth and health.
- Lead farm staff, schedule shifts, train new hires, and conduct performance evaluations to maintain high standards.
- Implement and monitor biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety protocols across all shifts.
- Coordinate health programs with veterinarians, track vaccinations and disease surveillance.
- Maintain accurate record keeping for livestock inventory, production metrics, and compliance reporting.
- Manage budget, procurement of supplies, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including sustainability efforts and process optimization.
Qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years of livestock farming or farm management experience, preferably with cattle and poultry.
- Strong knowledge of animal welfare, nutrition, and disease prevention; basic veterinary coordination experience.
- Proven leadership and team management skills; ability to train, motivate, and develop staff.
- Excellent record keeping and data analysis abilities; proficiency with farm software and Excel.
- Safety focused mindset with experience implementing biosecurity and OSHA compliant practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons; reliable transportation.
- Effective communication skills with veterinarians, suppliers, and staff; problem solving aptitude.
