Join Summitcrest Farms, a leading livestock operation focused on cattle, sheep, and sustainable pasture management. We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to lead day to day farm operations, optimize animal welfare, and ensure profitable performance across our Modesto region ranch.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily livestock operations including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and welfare across cattle and small ruminants.
- Develop and implement herd health plans, vaccination schedules, biosecurity, and parasite control programs.
- Plan breeding cycles, calving and lambing calendars, and maintain accurate performance records.
- Manage pasture rotation, fencing, water systems, and feed logistics to maximize efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead, train, and schedule farm staff; enforce safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor compliance with local regulations, animal welfare standards, and environmental practices.
- Manage budgets, inventory, purchases, and vendor relationships for feed and husbandry supplies.
- Track key performance indicators and prepare regular reports for farm leadership.
Qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years of livestock farming or farm management experience.
- Strong knowledge of cattle and small ruminant husbandry, nutrition, and health management.
- Experience reading veterinary records, vaccination schedules, and keeping meticulous farm records.
- Proficiency in pasture management, fencing, water systems, and basic mechanical maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills; ability to train and supervise staff effectively.
- Commitment to animal welfare, safety, and ethical farming practices; familiarity with relevant regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and lift moderate weights; valid driver's license required.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management; prior experience with farm software is a plus.
