Responsibility
- Oversee daily care and welfare of cattle and poultry, ensuring optimal health and productivity.
- Plan and monitor balanced feeding, nutrition programs, and water management.
- Implement robust biosecurity measures and health protocols to prevent disease.
- Maintain accurate farm records, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Supervise and mentor farm staff; enforce safety policies and team collaboration.
- Coordinate breeding, vaccination, and reproductive management in alignment with herd goals.
- Monitor environmental stewardship, waste management, and pasture rotation as applicable.
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in agriculture or animal science preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on livestock farming experience, with cattle and poultry exposure.
- Strong knowledge of animal welfare, nutrition, vaccination, and health monitoring.
- Proven leadership skills; ability to train and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent record-keeping, data entry, and basic financial acumen.
- Knowledge of biosecurity, safety regulations; forklift or equipment operator certification a plus.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather; valid driver's license required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
