About the role
As a Master Mechanic, you will diagnose complex mechanical issues, oversee technicians, ensure safety standards, and maintain service quality.
Responsibility
- Lead diagnostic and repair work on engines, drivetrains, and electrical systems with precision.
- Mentor junior technicians and uphold shop standards for safety and quality.
- Interpret OEM service manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and document work accurately.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure on time service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify root causes efficiently.
- Oversee parts inventory control and ordering to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with service writers to communicate findings and recommendations.
Qualification
- 5+ years of automotive or mechanical repair experience; ASE Master Technician is preferred.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software for engines, electrical, and drivetrains.
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics; troubleshoot using OEM manuals.
- Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring technicians.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
