We are seeking a Mathematics Research Scientist to advance theoretical and applied research that informs product strategy and AI-powered solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with statisticians, software engineers, and product teams to design, implement, and validate models that solve real-world problems across finance, optimization, and risk assessment. You will contribute to a culture of curiosity, precision, and measurable impact, publishing internal findings to accelerate collective learning.
Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of advanced mathematical models and algorithms for scalable applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement models in production code with robust testing.
- Conduct theoretical research and publish findings internally to advance company capabilities.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, validate hypotheses, and quantify uncertainty.
- Communicate complex mathematical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through clear visuals and reports.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a culture of rigorous experimentation and peer review.
- Define and track metrics to assess model performance and impact on business outcomes.
Qualification
- PhD or MS in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field (PhD preferred).
- Strong background in probability, statistics, numerical methods, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas) and at least one mathematical computing language (MATLAB, R).
- Experience with machine learning, data analysis, and model deployment in production environments.
- Proven ability to translate abstract mathematical concepts into practical, scalable solutions; excellent communication skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib/Seaborn, Plotly) and LaTeX for technical documentation.
- 3+ years of research or industry experience in quantitative roles.
