AgriNova Technologies is seeking a Progressive Precision Agriculture Specialist to join our growing team in Davis, CA. You will deploy and optimize the latest ag tech to help growers maximize yield, improve resource use, and reduce environmental impact. As a Precision Agriculture Specialist, you will partner with agronomists, data scientists, and farm operations to implement variable-rate technologies, drone mapping, soil sensing, and irrigation management across diverse crop systems. Responsibility
- Conduct field data collection (soil health, moisture, nutrient levels) across multiple sites and seasons
- Design and implement precision agriculture plans using variable-rate irrigation, fertilizer application, and crop protection strategies
- Integrate drone imagery, satellite data, and soil sensor readings to build actionable insights
- Analyze data to optimize yields, resource use efficiency, and environmental sustainability
- Collaborate with agronomy, operations, and sales teams to tailor solutions for growers
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain precision ag equipment and sensors
- Prepare clear, data-driven reports and present results to clients and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and environmental regulations while maintaining quality standards
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Applied Ecology, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with precision agriculture tools and field operations
- Proficiency with GIS, drone imagery analysis, sensor networks, and data analytics (Excel, Python, or R)
- Strong understanding of soil science, irrigation systems, and crop nutrient management
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with growers and cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to travel to field sites regularly
- Valid driver's license; willingness to work outdoors in varying climates and seasons
