Join AgriNova Technologies as a Precision Agriculture Specialist, helping farmers maximize yield while reducing inputs through data-driven decisions. This full-time role combines agronomy knowledge with modern analytics, IoT, and field operations to deliver measurable impact across crop cycles.
Based in Modesto, CA, you’ll collaborate with growers, researchers, and software engineers to deploy scalable farming solutions that optimize irrigation, fertilizer use, and pest management.
Responsibility
- Design and implement precision agriculture strategies using soil, genomic, and environmental data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for crop performance and input efficiency.
- Collaborate with agronomists, data scientists, and field crews to run pilots and scale successful practices.
- Manage sensor networks (soil moisture, weather stations, drones) and ensure data quality.
- Provide training and support to growers on best practices and technology adoption.
- Monitor crop health and disease risk, recommending timely interventions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and farm safety standards.
- Evaluate new technologies and vendors, supporting procurement decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years in precision agriculture, agronomy, or data analytics in farming settings.
- Strong proficiency with Python/R for data analysis and visualization; experience with GIS (QGIS, ArcGIS).
- Hands-on experience with IoT sensor networks, drones, and remote sensing.
- Knowledge of agronomic crop management, irrigation scheduling, fertilizer optimization, and pest/disease management.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable field recommendations.
- Willingness to travel regionally to farms and pilot sites.
