Join our premier agricultural operation in Salinas, CA as a Precision Agriculture Specialist. You will leverage data-driven insights, drone imagery, and soil analytics to optimize crop yields, conserve resources, and support sustainable farming practices across multiple high-value crops.
In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll collaborate with agronomists, irrigation specialists, and farm managers to design and implement precision agriculture programs that align with annual production targets and compliance standards.

Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of precision agriculture programs across field operations, focusing on monitoring, modeling, and optimization of water use, nutrients, and pest management.
- Analyze field data (soil, moisture, yield, imagery) to inform irrigation scheduling and fertilizer strategies.
- Utilize GIS, drone imagery, and sensor data to identify variability and implement site-specific management zones.
- Collaborate with agronomy and operations teams to translate data insights into actionable field practices.
- Monitor KPIs, report on production performance, and adjust strategies to maximize yield while reducing costs and environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with crop safety, environmental regulations, and record-keeping standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agriculture Science, Data Science, or a related field; or 5+ years of hands-on precision agriculture experience.
- 5+ years of experience in precision agriculture, crop production, or farm data analytics.
- Strong proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), drone imagery, sensor networks, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with irrigation scheduling, fertilizer management, and environmental compliance.
- Programming or scripting knowledge (Python, R) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data insights into practical field actions.
- Willingness to be on-site in Salinas and travel to field sites as needed.
