Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 3–5 across science disciplines, with emphasis on physics and mathematics where applicable.
- Assess and monitor student progress; provide timely feedback and implement supporting strategies for diverse learners.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied abilities, including students with SEND.
- Manage classroom behavior and establish a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Incorporate technology and ICT tools to enhance learning (e.g., interactive simulations, digital assessments).
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and update the science curriculum and schemes of work.
- Prepare students for high-stakes assessments (GCSEs/A-Levels) and track attainment against targets.
- Engage in extra-curricular STEM activities and parent communication as required.
Qualification
- Relevant degree (Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting (UK experience preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge with ability to teach multiple STEM subjects at KS3/KS4.
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience with data-driven planning.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare; up-to-date DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Proficiency with classroom technology and digital assessment tools.
- Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities and parent engagement.
