LuminaFrame Animation is a premier studio delivering character-driven stories across film, television, and interactive media. We are seeking a Senior 3D/2D Animator to lead the animation team, craft expressive performances, and elevate our pipeline. As a Senior Animator, you will collaborate with directors, storyboard artists, riggers, and lighting to breathe life into characters and worlds. You will mentor junior artists, shape animation aesthetics, and help us push creative boundaries while maintaining production discipline.
Responsibility
- Lead and animate high-quality 2D and 3D sequences for characters, props, and environments with a clear acting sense and timing.
- Collaborate with directors, storyboard artists, riggers, and lighting to realize creative visions and maintain style consistency.
- Develop and implement animation pipelines, workflows, and delivery standards to improve efficiency and quality.
- Mentor junior animators, review work, provide actionable feedback, and foster a culture of growth.
- Iterate concepts with fast-paced production schedules, balancing creativity with technical feasibility.
- Create expressive performance blocks, timing charts, and reference videos to guide production teams.
- Troubleshoot animation issues, optimize performance for render farms, and ensure quality control across scenes.
Qualification
- 5+ years of professional animation experience across 2D and 3D projects, with a strong reel demonstrating acting, timing, and character performance.
- Proficiency in Maya and/or Blender; experience with Toon Boom Harmony and After Effects is a plus.
- Solid understanding of character rigging, weight, anticipation, follow-through, and arc-based storytelling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to give clear direction and incorporate feedback.
- Strong portfolio across cinematic scenes and dynamic actions, with an emphasis on character-driven storytelling.
- Experience leading a small team or project, coordinating with art directors and production leads.
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field preferred.
