NovaFrame Animation, a premier animation studio based in Los Angeles, invites a Senior 3D Animator to join our creative team. You will shape compelling character performances for feature films, commercials, and immersive media, while collaborating with directors, animators, and riggers to elevate storytelling.

Responsibility
- Lead and deliver high quality character animations for feature films, commercials, and real-time projects.
- Collaborate with directors, storyboard artists, and riggers to translate performance into believable movement.
- Develop and refine animation pipelines, including handoffs to rigging and shading teams, to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Mentor junior animators, provide constructive feedback, and help establish best practices and standards.
- Oversee rigging considerations and deformations to maintain expressive silhouettes across shots.
- Iterate quickly based on feedback from editors and leads, while preserving artistic intent.
- Stay current with software tools and techniques, including Maya or Blender, After Effects, and Toon Boom Harmony, and champion adoption of new workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of professional animation experience in a production environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating acting, timing, and character appeal across 2D/3D styles.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Maya or Blender, After Effects, and Toon Boom Harmony.
- Solid understanding of rigging, weight, timing, posing, and deformation principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work within a pipeline and adapt to feedback under tight deadlines.
