TerraGrow Farms is seeking a Senior Agronomist & Farm Operations Manager to lead crop programs and optimize production across our Salinas valley farms.
In this role, you will collaborate with agronomists, irrigation specialists, and field crews to drive sustainable yields, implement precision agriculture, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibility
- Provide strategic leadership for crop program design, planning, and execution across multiple farms.
- Optimize irrigation scheduling, soil fertility, pest and disease management using precision agriculture tools.
- Monitor yield performance, implement data-driven improvements, and report KPIs to executive leadership.
- Lead a cross-functional team of agronomists, field technicians, and farm supervisors; manage budgets and resources.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with suppliers, researchers, and extension services to implement best practices and new technologies.
- Develop training and development plans for farm staff to improve productivity and sustainability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in commercial agriculture with crop production, agronomy, or farm operations leadership.
- Demonstrated experience with irrigation management, soil testing, nutrient management, and pest control.
- Proficiency with farm management software, data analysis, and Excel; GIS experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to travel between farms; valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and regulatory compliance.
