GreenLeaf AgriTech is seeking a results-driven Senior Agronomist to lead precision agriculture initiatives in the Davis, California region. This role blends soil science, data analytics, and field leadership to optimize crop yields and resource efficiency across our farming operations.
As a member of our agronomy team, you will design and implement field trials, analyze soil and plant tissue data, and collaborate with growers to translate insights into actionable management practices.

Responsibility
- Lead and design field trials to optimize irrigation, fertilizer, and pest management.
- Collect, clean, and analyze agronomic data from multiple sources (soil, tissue, yield, weather).
- Develop site-specific nutrient and irrigation plans in collaboration with growers.
- Monitor crop performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with data science team to build predictive models for yield and resource use.
- Provide technical guidance and training to farm staff and partners.
- Prepare clear, actionable reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or master's degree in agronomy, soil science, or a related field; PhD preferred for senior roles.
- 5+ years of experience in field agronomy, precision agriculture, or crop management.
- Proficiency with soil testing, plant tissue analysis, and fertilizer planning.
- Experience with GIS, remote sensing, and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Excel).
- Strong communication, project management, and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to travel to partner farms within the region as needed.
