This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco area with a strong emphasis on collaboration with product, security, and SRE teams to deliver resilient, compliant cloud environments for global clients.

At NimbusTech Solutions, you will have the opportunity to shape cloud strategy, mentor engineers, and work on high-impact projects that power modern software delivery.

Responsibility

  • Design and implement scalable multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) to meet business requirements.
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives, including assessment, lift-and-shift and modernization strategies.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Enforce security, IAM, and compliance controls across environments; collaborate with Security and Compliance teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and promote best practices in cloud engineering and DevOps.
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions and measurable metrics.
  • Stay current with cloud-native services and industry trends to drive innovation.

Qualification

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, preferably multi-cloud.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation is a plus).
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), microservices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of networking, IAM, security best practices, and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR as applicable).
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to influence across teams.
