PulseGrid Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to lead design and implementation across utility-scale projects, industrial facilities, and grid modernization initiatives. This role combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional leadership to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power systems.
Key focus areas include power system studies, protective relay schemes, medium- and high-voltage distribution, and integration of renewables. You will collaborate with project managers, electrical designers, and field teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Responsibility
- Lead electrical power system design for medium- and high-voltage projects, including protection and control schemes.
- Conduct power system studies (short-circuit, load flow, protection coordination) using ETAP, SKM, or PowerFactory.
- Develop, review, and approve one-line diagrams, cable routing, grounding, and switchgear specifications.
- Design and validate protective relay settings, SCADA interfaces, and communication protocols.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC NFPA 70E, and client standards; perform design reviews and QA documentation.
- Collaborate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to support project execution and handover.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead technical risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in design delivery.
Qualification
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical Engineering; Masterās preferred.
- 5+ years of electrical power engineering experience in utility, industrial, or EPC environments.
- Strong proficiency in power system studies and protection relays (e.g., SEL, GE, Siemens) and control systems.
- Experience with ETAP, SKM, PowerFactory, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit for electrical design and documentation.
- Solid knowledge of IEEE standards, NFPA 70E, NEC, and relevant codes; excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management abilities; demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline teams.
- Eligible for Texas PE license or able to obtain license; willingness to travel as required.
