GlobalLingo Solutions is seeking a highly skilled English-German Translator to join our Berlin localization team. You will translate and localize diverse content, ensuring accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance across markets.
In this role, you will collaborate with project managers, editors, and subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality translations on tight deadlines, and you will contribute to the development of robust glossaries and style guides.

Responsibility
- Translate and localize content from English to German (and back as needed) while preserving meaning, tone, and style.
- Maintain consistency by applying company terminology using CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ).
- Collaborate with localization and content teams to ensure on-brand voice across marketing, technical, and legal materials.
- Edit and proofread translations to ensure high linguistic quality and error-free deliverables.
- Perform quality assurance checks and manage terminology with glossaries and style guides.
- Meet project deadlines and communicate progress, risks, and resource needs with managers.
- Conduct terminology research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or related field.
- Native-level proficiency in German and strong command of English (C1+).
- 3+ years of professional translation experience, preferably across multiple domains (marketing, technical, legal).
- Expertise with CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast) and terminology management.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with localization best practices, glossaries, and style guides; strong cultural awareness.
- Certification in translation or localization (e.g., ATA, NAATI) is a plus.
