Join Atlas Meridian Group as a Senior Industrial Relations Manager, guiding our organization through complex labor relations with strategic insight and unwavering integrity. You will partner with operations, HR business partners, and senior leadership to ensure compliant, fair, and productive relationships with workforce representatives across multiple sites in Texas.
We seek a trusted IR leader who can translate business goals into proactive labor relations programs, lead negotiations, and resolve workplace challenges with a data-driven, people-first approach.
Responsibility
- Lead development and execution of the company’s industrial relations strategy across all U.S. sites, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and influence negotiations with unions, prepare and administer collective bargaining agreements, and interpret contract language for site leadership.
- Oversee handling of ER investigations, grievances, discipline, and appeals with a focus on timely, fair outcomes.
- Collaborate with HR and Operations to design policy changes, absence management, and performance processes that minimize risk and uphold workplace culture.
- Provide expert guidance on labor laws, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements, including risk assessments and remediation plans.
- Coach and develop site HR teams and managers in best-practice IR principles, conflict resolution, and effective communication with employees.
- Lead data-driven reporting on IR metrics, costs, and trends; drive process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent the company in disputes, arbitrations, and labor board proceedings when required.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or professional IR certification is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in industrial relations or employee relations, ideally in manufacturing or logistics environments.
- Proven track record in collective bargaining, contract interpretation, and union negotiations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. labor laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance practices; ability to interpret complex contract language.
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset, and proficiency with HRIS and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills; ability to negotiate with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven project management and change-management capabilities; comfortable leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel as needed to support field operations.
