Join NexusInfra Partners, a premier infrastructure development firm building resilient, future-ready networks and urban systems. We are expanding our team in Austin, TX, and seeking a Senior Infrastructure Development Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary initiatives from scoping through delivery.

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams, city agencies, utilities, and lenders to plan, structure, and optimize complex infrastructure projects including transportation corridors, water and sewer systems, and energy resilience. You will own project development timelines, cost estimation, risk assessment, and technical documentation to ensure projects meet stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibility

  • Lead feasibility studies, option analyses, and value engineering for complex infrastructure projects across transportation, water, and energy sectors.
  • Develop and manage development plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with municipal authorities, utilities, and financing partners to secure approvals and funding for project milestones.
  • Review environmental, social, and governance considerations and ensure compliance with local planning, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation to stakeholders; support procurement processes and contractor tendering.
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams across internal disciplines and external consultants.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field; PE license preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure project development, program management, or urban development.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale transportation, water, or energy resilience projects.
  • Strong knowledge of permitting, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory processes in Texas or similar jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and BIM/digital planning platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15-20% as needed and manage multi-site initiatives.
