At Axiom Legal Consulting, we partner with leading organizations to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. We are seeking a Senior Legal Consultant to deliver strategic advisory, rigorous regulatory analysis, and practical compliance solutions for clients across industries such as fintech, healthcare, and data privacy.
In this role, you will lead multi jurisdictional reviews, draft and negotiate high stakes agreements, and mentor junior attorneys on risk based decision making. You will collaborate with product, operations, and leadership to translate legal risk into actionable business strategies.

Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive regulatory risk assessments and gap analyses across applicable jurisdictions.
- Lead contract review and negotiation for complex commercial agreements with clients and vendors.
- Advise clients on data privacy, security, and cross border transfer requirements in line with GDPR, CCPA, and relevant laws.
- Develop and implement compliant business processes, policies, and training materials for client teams.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on regulatory changes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, supporting professional growth.
- Collaborate with product, legal ops, and external counsel to drive compliant product development and go to market initiatives.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent; active bar admission in NY or applicable jurisdiction.
- 6+ years of experience in regulatory and compliance legal practice, preferably in fintech, healthcare, or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated experience with contract drafting/negotiation, regulatory filings, and risk assessments.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and cross border data transfers.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills with a consultative approach.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and collaboratively with cross functional teams; willingness to travel up to 20%.
- Proven track record of delivering practical legal advice that aligns with business goals.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and contract management systems.
