Responsibility
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on light to medium duty vehicles and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues before they become costly repairs
- Utilize diagnostic tools and onboard computer systems to identify faults and verify repair quality
- Repair driveline, braking, steering, suspension, and cooling systems
- Document service work accurately and communicate findings with customers and service advisors
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize workflow and deliver high-quality workmanship
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certifications preferred or willingness to obtain
- 3+ years of hands-on automotive/mechanical repair experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (OBD-II, scan tools) and reading schematics
- Ability to lift heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced shop
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service orientation
