Join Apex Weather Analytics, a leading climate and weather analytics firm, as a Senior Meteorologist focused on forecast modeling, model evaluation, and climate analytics.
You will lead development of forecasting workflows, oversee model verification, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-precision weather insights to government, aviation, and energy clients.
Responsibilities include building and validating numerical weather prediction (NWP) models, conducting statistical post-processing, and communicating complex results through clear dashboards and reports.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and validation of numerical weather prediction and climate models.
- Develop and maintain forecasting workflows, post-processing pipelines, and quality control processes.
- Evaluate model performance using verification metrics and cross-platform benchmarking.
- Translate complex meteorological data into actionable forecasts and client-ready reports.
- Collaborate with data engineers, visualization specialists, and domain experts to deliver integrated weather solutions.
- Present findings to stakeholders and mentor junior meteorologists.
- Stay current with advances in atmospheric science, data science methods, and HPC workflows.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with numerical weather prediction, climate modeling, or weather analytics.
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred; familiarity with R, MATLAB or Fortran).
- Experience with data visualization tools and dashboards (e.g., matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau).
- Proficiency with HPC and cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with model verification, forecast verification, and uncertainty quantification.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
