NovaPetro Technologies is seeking a results-driven Senior Petroleum Engineer to join our Houston team. This role leads reservoir development, collaborates across drilling, completions, and production, and drives value through data-driven decision making. You will mentor engineers, manage project timelines, and develop business cases for high-impact field developments. Must be able to travel occasionally and relocate as needed.

Responsibility
- Lead reservoir characterization and development planning for onshore and offshore assets.
- Build and run dynamic reservoir models to forecast production and economics.
- Design and optimize enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies and steam/chemical projects.
- Collaborate with drilling, completions, facilities, and production teams to align operating plans with commercial targets.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews and design gates.
- Analyze production data, perform PVT and material balance analyses, and prepare technical reports.
- Support well testing, wireline data interpretation, and well performance optimization.
- Ensure HSE compliance, regulatory adherence, and standard operating procedures across asset teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master's preferred.
- 7+ years of upstream petroleum engineering experience in reservoir management or development.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation tools (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) and production forecasting.
- Strong understanding of drilling, completions, facilities, and reservoir analytics.
- Experience with data analytics, Python/SQL, and engineering software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with strong project management and time-management skills.
- US work authorization or ability to obtain as per sponsoring policy.
