BlueRidge Energy Solutions, a leader in integrated oil and gas development, is seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer in Houston, TX to drive high-impact reservoir and production optimization initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence asset performance across upstream operations and field development projects.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technically rigorous solutions that maximize value while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir and production engineering activities for assigned assets, delivering reliable performance projections and optimization plans.
- Develop and maintain geological and reservoir models, conduct history matching, and run scenario analyses using industry-standard simulators.
- Evaluate well performance, select optimization strategies, design artificial lift systems, and recommend workovers or completions changes.
- Collaborate with drilling, completions, facilities and HSE teams to develop integrated development plans and ensure safe operations.
- Prepare economic evaluations, contribute to asset development plans, budget forecasting, and risk assessments for field developments.
- Monitor production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement production optimization projects to maximize recovery and value.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, data integrity, and adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelorās degree in Petroleum Engineering required; Masterās degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering, production optimization, or field development planning.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation tools (Eclipse, CMG) and data analytics (Python, SQL, Excel).
- Strong understanding of reserve estimation, PVT interpretation, material balance, and economic evaluation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel as needed and eligible to work in the United States.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
