Join a premier analytics consultancy at Northbridge Analytics. We are seeking a Senior Statistician to join our applied analytics team in Boston, MA. This role focuses on translating complex data into strategic, actionable insights for clients across healthcare, finance, and consumer industries.
You will design robust statistical analyses, build predictive and causal models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate combines deep statistical expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for mentorship.
Responsibility
- Design and lead statistical analyses and experimental designs, including power calculations and sample size planning.
- Develop, validate, and refine predictive models using R and Python; assess model performance and robustness.
- Perform data wrangling, cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis to inform modeling decisions.
- Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to deploy models in production and monitor ongoing performance.
- Mentor junior statisticians and contribute to internal best-practice standards and documentation.
Qualification
- Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in applied statistics, data science, or biostatistics.
- Proficiency in R; strong Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL skills.
- Experience with experimental design, A/B testing, causal inference, and uncertainty quantification.
- Strong knowledge of Bayesian methods and hierarchical modeling is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex results for diverse audiences.
- Track record of working across interdisciplinary teams and delivering actionable insights.
