We are seeking a details-driven, client-focused Senior Tax Consultant to lead complex tax engagements, manage risk, and mentor a growing team in our New York City office.
In this role you will partner with clients to optimize tax structures, perform deep tax research, prepare and review federal, state, and local returns, and ensure timely, accurate deliverables. You will also lead tax provision work, assist with audits, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and client value.

Responsibility
- Lead and manage end-to-end corporate and partnership tax compliance engagements for mid-market to large clients.
- Provide proactive tax planning strategies to optimize global and domestic tax positions and cash flow.
- Coordinate and review federal, state, and local tax returns, estimates, and extensions; supervise junior staff.
- Perform in-depth tax research and interpretation of current tax laws and regulatory developments; communicate impact to clients.
- Lead transfer pricing analyses and documentation in collaboration with multinational clients.
- Assist with tax provision work, ASC 740, and financial reporting implications.
- Maintain strong client relationships, manage expectations, and deliver high-quality, timely deliverables.
Qualification
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive tax experience in a professional services firm or corporate tax department.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws; international tax experience a plus.
- Proficiency with tax software (GoSystems, ProConnect, Vertex) and MS Excel; experience with data analytics a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, client management, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; MBA or MS in Tax preferred.
