Join GlobalWave Logistics as a Shipping Operations Manager in Singapore. Lead cross-border freight activities, optimize carrier performance, ensure compliance, and elevate customer satisfaction with a premium, data-driven logistics team.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end shipping operations for inbound and outbound freight across multiple regions, ensuring on-time and compliant delivery.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to optimize routes, costs, and transit times.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for transit reliability, cost per shipment, and cargo claims; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Streamline documentation, labeling, and cargo handling processes to minimize delays and errors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs, security, and hazardous materials where applicable.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, and customer service to manage complex orders and escalation procedures.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing shipping operations team; optimize workload and scheduling across shifts.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of shipping/logistics operations experience, with international freight exposure.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance, and trade compliance in APAC and global markets.
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS, ERP systems, and data analytics; advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management with carriers and agents.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
