Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the delivery of agricultural extension services and programs across municipalities within Occidental Mindoro, ensuring alignment with provincial priorities.
- Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs on crop production, pest management, soil conservation, irrigation, and agribusiness development.
- Supervise a team of agricultural technologists and field staff; provide coaching, performance feedback, and capacity building.
- Manage budget, procurement, and utilization of resources; ensure compliance with government procurement rules.
- Coordinate with local government units, farmers groups, irrigation districts, and other agencies to optimize service delivery.
- Prepare and submit regular reports, status updates, and performance metrics to the Provincial Agriculture Office.
- Ensure compliance with Civil Service Commission rules, transparency, and public accountability.
- Spearhead data collection, extension materials, and policy recommendations to improve farm productivity and rural livelihoods.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Registered Agriculturist (RA) or eligible for RA licensure by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in agriculture development, extension services, or farm management; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Philippine agriculture policies, programs, extension services, and rural development strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); data analysis and reporting skills; GIS or data tools are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to rural communities and field offices.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and adaptability; problem-solving mindset.
