Join NexaTax Global as a Tax Manager in the heart of New York City. We seek a seasoned tax professional to lead domestic and international tax strategy, compliance, and planning for a multinational client portfolio. You will partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations to optimize tax outcomes, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.
In this role you will drive complex tax projects, oversee the preparation of federal, state, and international tax returns, and lead tax planning initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. You will mentor staff, collaborate with external advisors, and influence business decisions with data-driven insights.

Responsibility
- Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax compliance for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Oversee ASC 740 accounting for income taxes processes and disclosures.
- Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies to optimize worldwide effective tax rates.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and supporting analyses in collaboration with external advisors.
- Monitor tax reform developments and assess impact on business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Lead tax audits, controversy management, and response strategies with regulators as needed.
- Mentor and coach tax team members; promote a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations to embed tax considerations into business decisions and system design.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; CPA or equivalent professional designation required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate tax, with exposure to US federal and state tax, and international tax basics.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and financial statement tax disclosures.
- Experience with transfer pricing, tax provisioning, and tax software systems (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, SAP/Oracle modules).
- Proven ability to analyze complex tax issues and communicate actionable recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Strong research, writing, and presentation skills; fluency in English; willingness to travel as needed.
