This full-time role blends creative collaboration with meticulous planning, safety, and leadership. You will work closely with directors, designers, cast, and crew to deliver a seamless run of shows from rehearsal through final curtain.

In this role, you will be the heartbeat of the production: coordinating rehearsals, managing the run of show, and ensuring every cue is executed with precision. We offer a supportive, artist-driven environment, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a thriving performing arts organization.

Responsibility

  • Lead call-to-show leadership, cueing, timing, and safety for all performances.
  • Coordinate rehearsal and production schedules; liaise with directors, designers, and production staff.
  • Manage backstage workflow, props, set changes, and technical equipment.
  • Run the technical rehearsal and premiere, ensuring accurate communication of cues to cast and crew.
  • Oversee safety protocols, risk assessments, and adherence to venue regulations and union contracts where applicable.
  • Maintain the show bible, production calendar, and post-show notes for ongoing productions.
  • Foster clear, professional communication among cast, crew, and artistic leadership.
  • Develop contingency plans and promptly troubleshoot issues during performances.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Arts Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of stage management experience in live theatre.
  • Proficiency with QLab, Show Cue System, and standard stage management practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and show days.

  • Collaborative, calm under pressure, and highly detail-oriented.
