As a Tour Guide, you will bring London’s history and culture to life through engaging narratives, curated routes, and exceptional hospitality. You will collaborate with operations to optimize itineraries, ensure guest safety, and deliver memorable experiences that exceed expectations.
Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking tours for groups of varying sizes, delivering clear, engaging commentary with accurate historical context.
- Curate routes that highlight iconic landmarks and hidden gems while adapting to audience interests and accessibility needs.
- Prioritize guest safety, manage group dynamics, and handle on-tour challenges with professionalism and poise.
- Provide exceptional customer service, anticipate guest needs, and resolve issues promptly and gracefully.
- Coordinate with operations for scheduling, logistics, and route optimization in real time.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, seasonal events, and safety guidelines.
- Capture and utilize guest feedback for continuous improvement and share insights with the team.
Qualification
- Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or frontline customer service experience.
- Excellent public speaking, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (especially Spanish, French, or German) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of London history, culture, architecture, and local lore.
- Outstanding customer service, conflict resolution, and crowd management abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and seasonal peaks.
- Valid right to work in the UK and relevant guiding certifications is preferred.
- Comfortable walking for extended periods and exposure to variable weather conditions.
