Responsibility
- Assist with volunteer recruitment campaigns and outreach in the New York area to attract diverse participants.
- Onboard volunteers, conduct orientation sessions, and maintain accurate volunteer records in the database.
- Coordinate scheduling, assignments, and coverage for events and programs to ensure smooth operations.
- Support training and development activities, including materials preparation and session facilitation.
- Collaborate with program staff to monitor volunteer impact, collect feedback, and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, background checks, and volunteer guidelines.
- Represent the organization at community events, partner meetings, and outreach activities.
Qualification
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination or community outreach preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate volunteers.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities; detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with basic office software and volunteer management tools or CRM systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, social sciences, or related field.
