As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will recruit, guide, and support volunteers across multiple initiatives, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all participants. You’ll collaborate with staff to plan events, track impact, and recognize volunteers for their contributions.
Responsibility
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and retention across programs.
- Develop and maintain volunteer handbook, policies, and onboarding materials.
- Plan and execute community events and outreach activities with volunteer teams.
- Match volunteers to roles based on skills, interests, and program needs.
- Track volunteer hours, prepare impact reports, and acknowledge contributions.
- Provide training and ongoing support to volunteers to ensure safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with staff to identify program needs and optimize volunteer engagement.
Qualification
- Passion for community service and social impact.
- Previous volunteer coordination or event planning experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with basic office software and volunteer management tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college students welcome.
