Responsibility
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of water and sanitation projects within budget and schedule.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, technicians, and community workers.
- Oversee technical assessments, feasibility studies, and site analysis for project implementation.
- Engage stakeholders, including local government, NGOs, and beneficiary communities for project buy-in and sustainability.
- Monitor project outcomes, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, impact assessments, and funding proposals.
- Supervise capacity-building initiatives and training programs for local teams.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental protocols are rigorously maintained.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience managing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects.
- Proven knowledge of sectoral regulations, water treatment processes, and sanitation systems.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong report writing and data analysis capabilities.
- Experience working in multicultural or East African contexts preferred.
- Fluency in English; Swahili an advantage.
