AquaPure Solutions Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Water and Sanitation Project Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of sustainable water and sanitation initiatives in urban and peri-urban environments. Responsibility
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple water and sanitation projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with international standards.
- Engage with stakeholders including government entities, NGOs, and local communities to align project goals and secure support.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for optimal outcomes.
- Conduct site assessments, risk analyses, and technical feasibility studies to inform solution design.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure high-performance collaboration across departments.
- Monitor project progress, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental sustainability throughout all project phases.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in water and sanitation services.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 5 years' proven experience managing large-scale water and sanitation projects, preferably in East Africa.
- In-depth understanding of urban water supply, sanitation infrastructure, and public health principles.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills with proficiency in project management software.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- Demonstrable knowledge of local regulations, international guidelines, and best practices in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene).
- Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar, is an added advantage.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Kiswahili is a plus.
