Aurora Brand Studio is seeking a Branding Director to lead client branding programs, develop cohesive brand strategies, and oversee visual identity systems. You will partner with marketing, product, and design teams to craft compelling brand narratives that resonate across markets and channels.
In this role, you will shape brand architecture, define positioning, and establish scalable visual language and messaging frameworks. You will also mentor a growing team of designers and work closely with senior leadership to deliver premium branding experiences for our clients.
Responsibility
- Lead development of brand strategy, positioning, and storytelling for multiple clients and internal initiatives.
- Oversee creation and governance of visual identity systems, logos, typography, color, and iconography.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines and asset libraries for consistent application across channels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and creative teams to ensure brand coherence across experiences.
- Drive brand architecture decisions, product branding, and portfolio brand integration across markets.
- Guide and mentor designers, copywriters, and junior team members; manage external agencies when needed.
- Present strategic work to clients and executive stakeholders, translating insights into actionable plans.
- Conduct brand research and audience analysis to inform strategy and messaging.
Qualification
- 8+ years in branding, brand strategy, or creative leadership, with a strong portfolio.
- Proven track record delivering brand identities and campaigns for consumer or enterprise brands.
- Deep expertise in brand strategy, identity design, messaging, and go-to-market alignment.
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and prototyping.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in agency and in-house environments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury/client-centric environment in New York City; hybrid work acceptable.
