CurateLab Media is seeking a Content Curation Specialist who thrives at the intersection of research, editorial judgment, and data-driven storytelling. In this role, you will source, organize, and surface high-quality content across verticals while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and diversity.
You will partner with editors, product managers, and publishers to ensure our platform delivers compelling, trustworthy content that resonates with our audience.
Responsibility
- Source and evaluate high-quality content from multiple reputable sources, ensuring relevance to target audiences.
- Develop and maintain content taxonomies, metadata, and tagging systems to improve searchability and discovery.
- Coordinate with editors to curate daily and weekly content roundups that balance breadth and depth.
- Monitor content quality, flag duplicates or outdated items, and implement quality control processes.
- Apply data-driven insights to adjust curation strategies, including engagement metrics and audience signals.
- Collaborate with SEO and product teams to optimize content for discovery and retention.
- Lead small projects or experiments to test new curation formats or channels.
- Document workflows and maintain clear guidelines for content selection and attribution.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Library Science, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of content curation, editorial, or research experience in media or tech industries.
- Strong research skills and ability to assess source credibility and content quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Familiarity with SEO, metadata practices, and content management systems (CMS).
- Proficiency with data-driven decision-making; comfortable using analytics to guide decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of taxonomy design and tagging best practices is a plus.
