Lumina Media Lab is seeking a proactive Curation Specialist to join our editorial team in New York City. This role leads content discovery across platforms, shapes editorial themes, and ensures high-quality, rights-cleared material reaches our audience.
As a key member of the content strategy team, you will partner with editors, product, and data analytics to optimize content discovery, engagement, and retention.

Responsibility
- Lead daily and weekly content curation across editorial, product, and social channels to align with strategic themes.
- Define editorial taxonomy, metadata standards, and tagging practices to improve search and recommendations.
- Collaborate with editors, videographers, and product teams to source and curate high-quality assets.
- Evaluate external content and partnerships while safeguarding licensing, rights, and attribution.
- Maintain and optimize the content calendar, workflows, and publication pipelines.
- Analyze performance metrics (engagement, retention, conversion) and report insights to stakeholders.
- Experiment with content formats and recommendations to maximize discovery and journey continuity.
- Ensure brand safety, accessibility, and quality across all curations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years in content curation, editorial, or content strategy roles.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal) and analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel).
- Strong storytelling ability, editorial judgment, and attention to detail.
- Experience with metadata tagging, taxonomy design, and SEO best practices.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with licensing, rights management, and content rights workflows.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to synthesize large content sets into curated experiences.
