CurateX Media is seeking a Content Curation Specialist to join our dynamic editorial team in San Francisco. You will blend data-driven discovery with editorial judgment to surface high-quality, on-trend content that resonates with our audience.
As a core member of the Content and Strategy group, you will partner with editors, product managers, and creators to shape the content roadmap, maintain quality standards, and ensure diverse, inclusive representations across our channels.
Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and curate high quality content from a variety of sources that aligns with brand voice and audience interests.
- Develop and maintain content pipelines, editorial calendars, and inclusion of diverse perspectives.
- Apply data-driven insights from analytics to prioritize topics with high engagement potential.
- Collaborate with editors, product, and creators to craft compelling content experiences.
- Tag and organize content with metadata to optimize searchability and recommendations.
- Ensure content quality, accuracy, and accessibility across all platforms.
- Monitor trends, competitors, and emerging formats to inform the content roadmap.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years in content curation, editorial, or content strategy roles.
- Strong editorial judgment and a demonstrated ability to align content with audience needs and brand voice.
- Proficiency with content management systems and basic SEO practices.
- Experience with data analysis and using metrics to inform decision making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Attention to detail, project management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
