Responsibility

  • Lead, choreograph, and teach weekly classes across styles (contemporary, ballet, hip‑hop) for beginner to advanced levels.
  • Develop engaging curricula, progression plans, and performance-ready routines.
  • Rehearse and stage original works for showcases, festivals, and community events.
  • Maintain safe, clean studio spaces; oversee warm-ups, technique checks, and injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with the artistic director on programming, auditions, and casting.
  • Mentor assistant instructors; lead teacher trainings and constructive feedback sessions.
  • Coordinate class scheduling, auditions, and event logistics with operations and front-of-house teams.
  • Represent the studio with professionalism at public performances and outreach programs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dance or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of teaching experience and choreography across contemporary, ballet, and street dance styles.
  • Strong technique, musicality, and ability to break down complex moves for diverse learners.
  • Proven track record creating original works and leading collaborative projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and studio-management skills.
  • Ability to teach multiple levels and adapt to varying class sizes and formats.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends; willingness to travel for performances or outreach.
  • Knowledge of injury prevention, conditioning, and safe practice; first-aid certification preferred.
