Responsibility
- Lead the design, integration, and testing of defense systems across platforms and environments.
- Translate operational needs into verifiable system requirements and maintain traceability.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, test, and field teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Develop and maintain system safety, reliability, and MIL-STD compliance documentation.
- Perform risk assessment, define mitigation strategies, and support verification and validation planning.
- Support program management with progress reporting, risk management, and milestone tracking.
- Interface with government customers and defense partners to capture feedback and refine requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; 5+ years of hands on defense systems experience.
- Experience with defense programs and MIL STD frameworks such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and DO-178 / DO-254 as applicable.
- Pro proficiency in C++ and Python; experience with MATLAB or similar engineering analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of system engineering lifecycle, requirements management, and interface control documents using DOORS or Jama.
- Active security clearance; U.S. citizenship required; willingness to pursue higher clearance if needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by programs.
