Join our premier translation team in Berlin and help shape multilingual experiences for a global audience. We are seeking a seasoned EN–DE translator who delivers precise, culturally aware localization across technical, software, and marketing content. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and on-brand tone.
As a core member of our Localization unit, you will translate, edit, and proofread content, maintain terminology databases, and contribute to style guides. You’ll leverage CAT tools and translation memories to maximize consistency and efficiency while collaborating with project managers to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibility
- Translate and edit content from English to German and German to English with accuracy and natural style.
- Localize content for target audiences across software, technical, legal, and marketing materials.
- Maintain and expand terminology databases and glossaries to ensure consistency.
- Use CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ) and translation memories to improve efficiency.
- Perform QA checks, proofreading, and linguistic validation against client style guides.
- Collaborate with project managers, editors, and engineers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide feedback on MT output and contribute to process improvements.
- Adhere to data security, confidentiality, and brand guidelines.
Qualification
- Native-level or professional proficiency in German, with fluent English.
- 3+ years of professional translation experience EN↔DE, preferably in tech, software, or legal content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, etc.) and glossary management.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and QA skills; meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; hybrid or on-site in Berlin.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable with cross-functional teams.
