In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage linguistic assets, and mentor junior translators. The ideal candidate has hands-on translation experience, strong project coordination skills, and a passion for linguistic excellence.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end localization projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring on-time, high-quality results.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including translators, editors, reviewers, and QA specialists.
- Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and translation memories to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and post-editing for MT-assisted translations.
- Manage vendor relationships and workload forecasting, including vendor recruitment and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with product teams to adapt content for regional markets and regulatory needs.
- Provide linguistic testing and cultural adaptation for multimedia assets (subtitling, captioning, and voiceover when needed).
- Contribute to process improvements and tooling optimization (CAT tools, TMS, MT).
Qualification
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional localization/translation experience, preferably in tech or marketing sectors.
- Expertise with CAT tools (MemoQ, SDL Trados, or similar) and translation memories.
- Strong terminology management and glossary development skills.
- Proficiency in English with at least one additional language (e.g., German, French, Spanish).
- Solid project management and stakeholder communication abilities; experience with agile processes is a plus.
- Attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for quality.
- Work authorization to live and work in the UK; willingness to travel occasionally if required.
