GlobalLex Translation is seeking a Senior Localization Translator to lead high-impact multilingual projects across industries. This role blends linguistic mastery with program management to ensure accurate, culturally nuanced translations delivered on schedule.
Based in Toronto, you will collaborate with product teams, linguists, and QA specialists to optimize terminology, maintain style guides, and uphold high quality across English, Spanish, and French content.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end translation and localization of materials across product, marketing, and documentation.
- Develop and manage glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across languages.
- Coordinate with project managers, translators, and editors to establish realistic timelines and SLAs.
- Perform or oversee quality assurance, including in-context review and linguistic QA.
- Mentor junior translators, provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Support MTPE workflows, glossary improvements, and memory management.
- Ensure regulatory and brand compliance in all localized outputs.
- Analyze metrics to drive process improvements and cost efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelorās degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field; Masterās preferred.
- 5+ years of professional translation/localization experience in a multinational environment.
- Proficiency in English with professional fluency in Spanish and French; additional languages a plus.
- Strong experience with CAT tools (Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM) and translation memories.
- Excellent terminology management and ability to build/maintain glossaries.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of localization in tech, legal, and marketing domains preferred.
