Responsibility

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and boilers.
  • Perform precision diagnostics using industry-standard tools, read blueprints and equipment specifications, and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks to optimize system performance and extend equipment life.
  • Verify system performance, calibrate controls, and ensure proper refrigerant handling in compliance with regulations.
  • Inspect and test electrical connections, airflow, ductwork, and ventilation systems; identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Document service work, parts used, and recommended improvements; communicate findings clearly to customers.
  • Collaborate with installers and project managers on new installations and retrofit projects; provide accurate time estimates and progress updates.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to company safety policies and local codes.

Qualification

  • 3+ years of experience as an HVAC technician or equivalent with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • EPA Section 608 certification (Type I & II or Universal) and knowledge of refrigerant handling.
  • Journeyman or equivalent HVAC technician license (where required by state/local regulations).
  • Proficient with HVAC controls, thermostats, ductwork, and electrical components; able to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Strong diagnostic abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills; able to explain complex topics to non-technical clients.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to job sites within the service area.
