Job description
Atlas Industrial Group is seeking a proactive Industrial Relations Specialist to lead workplace relations initiatives across our manufacturing network in New York. You will partner with HR, operations, and leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws, manage union relationships, and drive positive employee engagement.
As a strategic advisor, you will interpret collective bargaining agreements, support wage and hour compliance, and champion conflict resolution processes with a focus on fairness and safety.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement industrial relations strategies that align with business goals across multiple sites.
- Lead collective bargaining processes, contract negotiations, and grievance resolution.
- Oversee labor law compliance and policy development to mitigate risk and ensure fair practices.
- Advise HR and operations on disciplinary matters, performance issues, and workplace investigations.
- Conduct investigations, document findings, and report outcomes to leadership and regulators as required.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with union leadership, site managers, and employee representatives.
- Provide training and guidance on IR topics to managers and HR staff to improve capabilities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial or labor relations, preferably in manufacturing or unions.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent negotiation, mediation, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret policy implications and data-driven insights.
- Experience with HRIS systems and MS Office; ability to travel across sites as needed.
- Professional certifications such as IR/SHRM-IR are a plus.
