Responsibility
- Develop and execute industrial relations strategies aligned with business goals and operational needs.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and renewal processes with unions.
- Advise and support management on disciplinary matters, investigations, and grievance handling in accordance with policies and laws.
- Monitor compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies; assess risk and implement mitigation plans.
- Partner with HR, safety, and operations to resolve workplace issues and reduce disputes.
- Provide training and guidance to managers on IR best practices, performance management, and labor relations processes.
- Analyze workforce data and metrics to forecast labor needs and inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain strong external relationships with labor representatives, regulators, and industry associations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in labor relations or industrial relations within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Deep knowledge of US labor laws and experience with collective bargaining agreements and labor contract administration.
- Proven negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing abilities, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with IR data analytics, metrics, and reporting to support strategic decisions.
- Ability to conduct fair investigations, manage sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15% and adapt to a dynamic, union-active environment.
